Chalani Ranasinghe

Chalani (“Chuh-luh-nee”) is passionate about all things related to healing, justice, and community. She is a resident physician in Public Health and Preventive Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital and working with FLOURISH as a part of her residency academic project. She has previously been engaged in projects combining visual culture and the history of medicine, which has inspired her interest in learning how art can be a medium for healing and documentating of health narratives. Outside of medicine, you can find her scrolling through the contemporary fiction section of Libby, giving gratuitous pets to neighbourhood cats, or working on her latest embroidery project.
