About the Project

Fostering Dialogues is an arts-based action research project that brings together 2SLGBTQI older adults and personal support workers in the homecare sector living in Ontario in dialogue and arts-making. Through Fall 2022, participants will be guided through a series of 8 virtual sessions in which we will explore themes of home, care, and futures of home and community-based care. Through this series of guided sessions, the project aims to deepen understanding of 2SLGBTQI older adults’ and personal support homecare workers experiences and perspectives on care, bridge divides, and identify calls to action. It also aims to explore and document the potential of arts-based action research to bring together and amplify the perspectives of historically marginalized groups. The project is funded by a CIHR Catalyst Grant. Read more.
